About Us
Founded in October 2009, Dissent is Scarborough’s ONLY 100% Skateboard shop. Owners Blandy and Jonny both skate (although not very well) and enjoy the lifestyle that surrounds it.
With this passion for Skateboarding, Fashion, Footwear and Street Art, Dissent was formed. Based on Huntriss Row in Scarborough, Dissent stocks a wide range of products from the core skate to the more commercial high street brands. These include companies such as Nike SB, Kr3w, Altamont, Emerica, Es, Adio, Element, Fenchurch, Dickies, Skullcandy, Fox, Girl, Royal, Zoo York, Alien Workshop, Zero, Mystery, Death Skateboards, Stereo, Famous Stars and Straps, Lakai, Real, PlanB, DGK, Globe and Nikita.
We aim to provide our customers with what they need by providing quality hardware, clothing and footwear. If we don’t have what you want, just ask, we can always try and get it!

So, after many years of working in this industry for other people I decided that it was time to do things my own way, opening a shop for skaters by skaters!
